Here are 5 simple tips to help you on the road to a better diet.
1. Start with a nutritious breakfast.

Eggs and avocado on gluten free toast, berries with natural yoghurt, green smoothie or natural oats are all great way to kick start your day and can all be prepared within 10 minutes. For long lasting energy ensure you have a good balance of healthy fats and protein.
2. What are you drinking?
Fizzy drinks and fruit juice are loaded with sugar. If you love the feel of fizz try a soda water with a mix of fresh fruits or berries. For summer refreshment try a lemon and lime twist with Grapefruit or for the colder months try blackberry and sliced apple.
3. Stop Those Sugar Cravings!
Sugar, it’s everywhere and promotes a wide range of health issues. From the office kitchen to gym vending machines we can’t get away from it. Eating a diet high in healthy fats, oils, protein and vegetables will not only decrease your cravings but also increase vitality!
4. Get moving!
As you know exercise increases endorphins which make us feel amazing, this same chemical reaction is created when we eat comfort foods. The key to breaking this habit is just that- habit! 5. Family favourites.
We know nothing beats Grandma’s apple pie but we also know it’s not an everyday food. Try swapping the bad stuff in family treats to bring them back onto your menu, the sugar used for the apples can be replaced with honey while the pastry crust can become an almond, cinnamon and walnut crust.
